Logan Morrison Eating For A Cure

On Monday Logan Morrison made an announcement via his twitter account:  “Excited to announce my partnership with @MrYumMiami to create the “LoMo roll” with proceeds from the roll going to @Lung_Florida.” Ever since losing his father to lung cancer back in December 2010, Logan Morrison has been actively involved in helping raise awareness and funds towards finding a cure for lung cancer. When his father was originally diagnosed with lung cancer his only wish was to see his son (Logan) get his first big league hit. After being drafted by the Florida Marlins [now the Miami Marlins], Tom Morrison got his wish before passing away at the age of 51.

Every January Morrison gathers his teammates, coaches and various players around the league to put on a baseball camp for kids . All of the proceeds benefit the American Lung Association and its reasearch to help find a cure for lung cancer.

I remember seeing this story on TV. Very touching story. It’s awesome that his dad at least got a chance to watch him play. I love his personality, he is funny and doesn’t bite his tongue for anyone lol! LoMo is awesome! ! !
