Last week Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gave back thousands to a local middle school. Bay Point Middle School in St. Petersburg, FL won the Buccaneers/NFL Play 60 Challenge. The Buccaneers organization and their players rewarded the school with brand new P.E. equipment, a new playground and more. . . . The NFL Play 60 Challenge is a great initiative put together by the NFL and the American Heart Association. The goal is to fight childhood obesity by challenging and encouraging schools nationwide to get kids moving, keeping them active for 60 minutes everyday. Childhood obesity is becoming a major health issue for young kids across the nation, thus the NFL and plenty of other professional organizations are finding ways to get more involved in young kids lives by getting them more involved on the playing field, whatever the sport, as long as they are active.
