Players and team front office personnel were “murdering” songs and guests ears last night, all for a great cause. Miami Heat forward Shane Battier held his first annual South Beach Battioke last night, all to benefit young people. Shane Battier and his wife have been working together for some time with their http://takechargefoundation.com/ “to help encourage and inspire leadership qualities in young people.” The foundation’s goal this year is to provide scholarships to deserving students in Miami.
Shane Battier, one of the newest editions to the Miami Heat this past off-season, definitely isn’t wasting anytime making himself comfortable in Miami. One important fact to note is that these scholarships that a being awarded to these students are not short-term or limited, it is a “FULL-RIDE” as they say. The student’s education will be taken care of for the total duration of their studies, now that is very impressive!
Back to the event, several of Battier’s teammates were in attendance to support the cause. Again for more information on Battier’s Take Charge Foundation http://takechargefoundation.com/.

Here are a few video clips I was able to capture as Pat Riley (Miami Heat President) and Shane Battier murdered some hits. Riley actually wasn’t that bad, just a little behind with the lyrics.
